Titanfall 2 only has "one to two" staff members working to fix its security concerns, according to Respawn Entertainment community coordinator Jason Garza.

During a morning livestream on Monday, June 28, Garza answered a fan's plea for news concerning the ongoing situation with Titanfall 2. The game has been deemed "unplayable" by several community members after several large-scale DDoS attacks that essentially keep it in a permanent state of downtime. Out of what can only be described as frustrated desperation, the fan sought out Garza on his livestream following unsuccessful attempts at contact via Twitter.

"Our community is at our wits end and feel abandoned," YouTube user Pseudo_9 wrote.

Garza replied, echoing the sentiments the company expressed days earlier, "You're not abandoned. It's a game of whack-a-mole with us."

He went on to explain that he stopped talking about the progress with Titanfall simply because he didn't wish to keep rehashing the same phrases over and over. According to him, he didn't want to say the team was just "working on it," because that was obvious. The consistent repetition of a promise renders it "useless."

"We are working on it," he explained, "We can't say what we're doing...because now it's a different type of game with these people who DDoS. We can't telegraph our moves, we can't say what we're doing. All I can say is 'we're working on it'. The Titanfall community is not forgotten or abandoned."

His explanation isn't uncommon. Laying out an exact plan of attack to the general public would only broadcast potential vulnerabilities in addressing the attacks. It would give the attackers the blueprint for exactly what to avoid and what to prepare for. However, it was his next statement that likely caught players by surprise.

"The thing is we only have one or two people on it because everyone else is on Apex. It is something we do work on it's just that these things take time," he said.

This news was highlighted as Titanfall 2 became under intense siege earlier today, July 12, leaving all servers across every platform overwhelmed and "completely unplayable." Attackers lifted their assault on the game allegedly "because they could," but some players are still reporting difficulty connecting at all.

Respawn Entertainment has yet to comment on this latest development in the ongoing Titanfall 2 saga.
