Top 5 Rarest Skins in Apex Legends for 2024
As 2023 comes to a close, we compiled a list of the top 5 rarest skins in Apex Legends heading into 2024.
Apex Legends is known for releasing limited-time skins during the holidays, seasonal Collection Events, and major collaborations. If you do not quickly get the skin you want, you likely will not have another chance, especially with some of the rarest options in the game. In fact, some fan-favorite skins in Apex Legends have not returned to the game in several years.
Check out some of the rarest skins in Apex Legends that you will likely never get your hands on.
Top 5 Rarest Skins in Apex Legends for 2024
Here's the top five rarest skins in Apex Legends for 2024.
5. Clocktane (Octane)
Unlike the next few skins on our list, Clocktane is a skin in Apex Legends that does not have a recolor. Fans can only get their hands on the beloved Legend's machine-inspired skin when it comes back to the game for 1,800 Apex Coins.
Of all the rare skins in Respawn Entertainment's Battle Royale, though, Clocktane is arguably the most likely to pop back up in-game at some point. Most recently, the skin came back in 2022 for a limited-time, but there have been no mentions of another return since then.
4. Midnight Cipher (Crypto)
Midnight Cipher is a recolor of Crypto’s Deadly Byte, bringing midnight blue and gold to his once pink and brown gear. Midnight Cipher was part of the Prince of Darkness Bundle in the Fight or Fright 2020 Event, one year after Deadly Byte dropped. Although both skins made a reappearance in 2021, they have not been in the game in the last two years.
It is no secret that Crypto is one of the least picked Legends in the game, so the likeliness of a random Midnight Cipher drop is slim to none.
3. From the Ashes (Lifeline)
From the Ashes is the perfect Lifeline skin for Halloween. The combat medic gets a devilish appearance that has never been replicated in any of her other skins in Apex Legends.
The rare From the Ashes skin for Lifeline could only be unlocked through the Season 3 Battle Pass; if you were not on Apex Legends back in 2019, then you never even got the chance to acquire Lifeline's spooky skin. Newer players only had the limited-time option to get Hell Raiser, a recolor Respawn Entertainment released in 2021, that features Lifeline with red skin.
2. Cyber Punked (Wattson)
Cyber Punked is a well-documented fan-favorite skin. Wattson might not be cracking the top ten in pick rate popularity in Apex Legends Season 19, but the community is very aware of how iconic her pink hair and cat ears are in-game. In fact, her magenta hair has never again been featured in Apex Legends.
Static Spike, a recolor of Cyber Punked, came out in 2022 for Halloween, giving Wattson orange hair for the holiday season. Unfortunately, the recolor did nothing but remind everyone of how much better the original skin is.
1. Night Terror (Wraith)
Night Terror is an OG skin from Apex Legends Season 1 in 2019. The skin dresses Wraith in vintage warrior's gear and could only be unlocked through the Battle Pass. Night Terror is one of the oldest Legendary skins in the game, and therefore one of the rarest. If you happen to have the Night Terror Wraith skin, then you are in a league of your own on Apex Legends.
