Riot Games' 20th playable Valorant agent, Harbor, was officially revealed in full Thursday.

Per Riot designer Alexander Mistakidis, Harbor was designed to be a Controller that didn't have to go off into another world (e.g. Astra, Omen) or look at a map to place their vision block (e.g. Brimstone). Additionally, Riot wanted to create an Agent that could compete with Viper on the maps where she is almost exclusively played. With this in mind, here's a breakdown of Harbor's abilities in Valorant.

Valorant Harbor Abilities: Full List

Here's the full list of Harbor's abilities and their official descriptions:

  • High Tide: EQUIP a wall of water. FIRE to send the water forward along the ground. HOLD FIRE to guide the water in the direction of your crosshair, passing through the world, spawning a wall along the water’s path. ALT FIRE while bending to stop the water early. Players hit are SLOWED.
  • Cove: EQUIP a sphere of shielding water. FIRE to throw. ALT FIRE to underhand throw. Upon impacting the ground, spawn a water shield that blocks bullets.
  • Cascade: EQUIP a wave of water. FIRE to send the wave rolling forward and through walls. RE-USE to stop the wave from moving further. Players hit are SLOWED.
  • Reckoning (Ultimate): EQUIP the full power of your Artifact. FIRE to summon a geyser pool on the ground. Enemy players in the area are targeted by successive geyser strikes. Players caught within a strike are CONCUSSED.

The first ability showcased in Riot's gameplay reveal trailer for Harbor is his High Tide. High Tide is pretty much equipped and placed like Phoenix's Blaze flame wall, except Harbor's is made out of water, can pass through the world, requires you to press alt fire in order to cut its placement short, and slows players who touch it rather than damaging them.

The next one shown in the trailer is Cascade. Cascade allows Harbor to equip a wave of water — shaped like a flat, tall square — that can be pushed in front of him to slow players and block vision.

Right after that, Harbor's Cove ability is shown. As demonstrated in the trailer, Cove will have most of its utility in Spike-related situations. Whether you or a teammate needs to plant or defuse the Spike, Harbor can place his Cove, which is pretty much an Astra wall, except it's placed like a Viper Poison Cloud. Enemies can't shoot through it, but they can still use mollies and other util to affect those inside.

Lastly, Harbor's Reckoning ultimate was used in the trailer. Admittedly, it is a bit unclear in the trailer how exactly it's placed. From what we can tell, it's pretty much used like Fade's Nightfall ultimate, except players caught in it are simply concussed.

Harbor is set to make his in-game debut with the launch of Patch 5.08 and Valorant Episode 5 Act III on Oct. 18, 2022.
