Want to learn about Revenant's abilities in Apex Legends? Here's what you need to know about the offensive simulacrum.

Revenant is an Offensive Legend who's best used as aggressively as possible. Learning how best to use his abilities, and when to use them, can really give you an edge on the battlefield. Introduced in Season 4, this Legend has been around long enough now for most veteran players to know how he works. If you're new to Apex Legends and are testing the waters to see which Legend suits you best, you might be thinking about Revenant.

Here are all of Revenant's abilities in Apex Legends.

What Are Revenant’s Abilities in Apex Legends?

Tactical

Revenant's tactical ability is Silence. With this, Revenant can throw a device which not only deals damage to any player caught in it, but also disables enemy abilities for 15 seconds. The device explodes on contact, leaving a cloud that deals 10 damage and disables tacticals, ultimates, and some passive abilities.

The cloud lingers for 10 seconds and affects anyone hit by it or who walks into it. This tactical ability has a 25 second cooldown.

While this ability likely won't kill an enemy unless they have extremely low health, it can be effective at setting your enemies back a bit. Since this ability only requires one hand, it can be used while healing, reloading, or even throwing a Frag Grenade for some extra damage. Use it to block pathways, doorways, or choke points to really make the most of it.

Passive

Using the totem, either by squadmates or enemies, will turn the user into a shadow for 25 seconds. In this form, any damage received will ignore shields and, upon death, will return to the totem with 50 health (or whatever amount of health players had when activating the totem if lower).

A good way to make use of Revenant's passive is to use ADS crouching and croush-strafing. Crouching gives Legends an improved accuracy, so without any speed penalties you can really give enemies hell.

Ultimate

Revenant's ultimate ability is Death Totem. This ability is an interesting one as it allows Revenant to drop a totem that protects users from death. Instead of being killed, or downed, you'll return to the totem wherever you placed it.

Using the totem, which can also be used by squadmates or enemies, will turn the user into a shadow for 25 seconds. In this form, any damage received will ignore shields and, upon death, will return the user to the totem with 50 health (or whatever amount of health players had when activating the totem if lower).

The shadow form can be particularly useful when you need to do some risky plays, such as reviving a squadmate. Players can also use this as an opportunity to deal as much damage as possible with little consequence. If killed in shadow form, players will simply transport back to their totem. It's best to have as much health as possible when entering shadow form, as your shield will not count.
