A problem that many Valorant players have been running into since the launch of the Riot Games shooter is an error message that says that the player needs to restart their computer to play the game. Thankfully, there are a few fixes to this annoying problem.

Your Game Requires a System Restart to Play Valorant: How to Fix

The first solution to pursue is to simply do what the prompt says and do a full system restart on the player's computer. This fix has worked for many of the players who have experienced this problem, and after the restart the game has run perfectly fine. Unfortunately, this hasn't been the case for a large number of players who experience this error, and who keep getting the same message even after the restart.

Another possible solution would be to run the program as an administrator. This would hopefully bypass the problem itself, but is not always a guaranteed fix. In a video by TechFixIT, a way to fix this issue is detailed by changing settings in the services window, specifically the VGC service.

If these solutions don't work, it may be time to contact Riot Games support, as they have the ability to work closely with the game and understand its issues better. Reinstalling Valorant is always an avenue to seek as well, as that will often work as a last effort.
