Genshin Impact: How to clean Xilonen’s workshop with Ineffa

Poor Noelle is getting powercrept by Ineffa in Genshin Impact 5.8 with the robo-maid getting to show off her cleaning skills — in more ways than one. In the Song of the Welkin Moon Prolog, mysterious robot Ineffa is picked up by the Traveler, Chasca, and Ifa on the beach, but she lost most of her memories. Wondering how to get her back on track, they ask Xilonen for advice.

Having successfully woken Ineffa up and discovered that she’s a robotic maid, Xilonen asks her to clean her workshop in order to jug her memories and coax a reaction out of her. Being dutiful, Ineffa immediately sets upon completing her new task — but there’s one step in the process that can make you overthink things.

How to clean Xilonen’s workshop in Genshin Impact

After picking up and storing all the boxes as well as clearing smaller trash off the floor, the next step in the cleaning process is to scrub the dirt away — it’s not the first time someone asks you to clean things up in Genshin Impact. But this is usually done with Anemo or Hydro powers and Ineffa has none of those — so what to do?

Well, remember Ineffa’s little robot companion that looks like an old computer screen or TV? Her name is Birgitta and you can summon her by using Ineffa’s Elemental Skill. Among other things, Birgitta is adept at cleaning up surfaces, so all you have to do is walk next to a dirt stain on the floor, use Ineffa’s Elemental Skill, and watch as Birgitta vacuums the trash.

Repeat this process for every stain and you’ll be good to continue the quest, which triples as an introduction to some of the principal characters in the upcoming Nod-Krai arc, a character story quest for Ineffa, and another huge lore bomb connected to Natlan and Dragon Sovereigns.
