Sandfall Interactive can pop open the champagne once more, as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has sailed past the next sales milestone — the RPG stands at over two million copies sold. A mere dozen days after release, that’s a major accomplishment for the indie game, especially with the game being available on Game Pass since Day 1.

“Twelve days in, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has crossed two million copies sold,” the developer wrote on social media. “We’ve watched in awe as so many of you began your journey. Feeling every step, every emotion, every revelation alongside you. To those just joining us: welcome. Tomorrow comes.”

Expedition 33 managed to crack the one million sales milestone three days after launch, so it follows a similar trajectory to medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 from earlier in the year. KC:D2 needed a single day for one million and two weeks for two million sales, before locking in three million sales after three months.

Praise for the game, meanwhile, is coming from all directions — even from very high up the ladder. French president Emanuel Macron called Expedition 33 an example of “French boldness and creativity” last week, adding to Sandfall Interactive’s growing laurels.
