Endless Legend 2 reveals the Last Lords, a faction of Dust-addicted undead

The Last Lords are joining Endless Legend 2’s Early Access launch on August 7, 2025, as its fourth playable faction — and they’re a familiar face for players of the original game. The Last Lords fled from their home planet Auriga, where Endless Legend was set and where they were known as the Broken Lords, seeking refuge on Saiadha.

Cursed to forever feed on the life force of others, all that remains of the Last Lords are their souls, entrapped in suits of armor that serve as their bodies. Naturally, this means that they won’t require any Food to grow their cities. Instead, the Last Lords purely rely on Dust. 

Their narrative seems to revolve around either accepting their new nature or attempting to reverse their fate.

Similar to the previously revealed Necrophage, the Last Lords will offer unique ways to interact with the independent factions present on the map. Being the vampire overlords they are, they can establish special estates on independent territories to extract tribute or conscript workers. Alternatively, you can slaughter the sheep instead of shearing them, i.e. completely draining their life force to resurrect additional Last Lords — perhaps even the especially powerful type known as the Primordials.

Their life-leeching capabilities extend to the battlefield as well, allowing troops to heal when nearby enemies fall. Incredibly resilient and tough, the Last Lords become more and more dangerous the longer a campaign goes on, as more of their forces are revived from slumber.

One more faction is set to be revealed ahead of Early Access.
