Honkai: Star Rail 3.3 release date, events, and features

Version 3.3 for Honkai: Star Rail, The Fall at Dawn’s Rise, has officially been revealed and it looks like HoYoverse is cooking another emotional rollercoaster for Trailblazers.

The remaining Chrysos Heirs will try to take the fight to Aquila, the Sky Titan, in order to grab their Coreflame and open up the way back to the Astral Express. Meanwhile, the Coreflame of Kephale is still in the hands of the scheming Council of Elders, the Flame Reaver is on the hunt again, and The Herta tries to figure out the secrets of Amphoreus from outside following her encounter with Lygus.

HSR 3.3 release date and trailer
Version 3.3 for Honkai: Star Rail is set to be released on May 21, 2025, for PC, PS5, iOS, and Android.

HSR 3.3 characters and story
The Trailblaze Mission “The Fall at Dawn’s Rise” will see the Chrysos Heir take the fight to the Sky Titan, Aquila. Aquila will be a boss with three different phases, each featuring different combat mechanics. Thankfully, Hyacine will provide off-field assistance in the final phase.
Meanwhile, Cipher will try to guard the Coreflame of Kephale in Okhema, which is still under control of the Council of Elders. Though declining in power following Anaxa’s ploy in HSR 3.2, the council is still scheming to bring the Chrysos Heirs down.
The HSR 3.3 banners will feature Hyacine (Wind, The Remembrance) and Cipher (Quantum, The Nihility) as brand-new 5-Star characters.
HSR 3.3 events
Here are all events planned to take place during HSR 3.3:
- Trace ‘n’ Drift – a racing mini-game; rewards include Stellar Jade.
- Legend of the Galactic Baseballer: Demon King – combat event with roguelite RPG elements; rewards include Stellar Jade.
- Divergent Universe: Protean Hero – another content update for the DU completing its Golden Boon line-up; rewards include Stellar Jade.
- Gift of Odyssey – log-in event with ten free limited pulls.
- Planar Fissure – double drops for Planar Ornament challenges.
- Garden of Plenty – double drops for Calyx challenges.
HSR 3.3 changes and features
A new Echo of War domain featuring Aquila will be available, which drops the new ascension material Daythunder Anamnesis. Cipher will be the first character to use this resource.
Additionally, a new ascension material will be introduced for Physical characters: Invasive Clot will drop from Stagnant Shadow (Shape of Deepsheaf), which will be located in a brand-new area. This material should be aimed at Phainon, who joins the fray in HSR 3.4.
Two new sets of Relics will come to the game as well. Warrior Goddess of Sun and Thunder as well as Wavestrider Captain. In Version 3.3, the Relic storage limit will be increased to 3,000 so as to make inventory management a little easier.
