HoYoverse announces Petit Planet, its take on Animal Crossing

HoYoverse has officially revealed Petit Planet, its upcoming cozy life sim game. Petit Planet will be available on PC, iOS, and Android “with additional platforms currently in development.” As DBLTAP has previously reported, a Nintendo Switch version of Petit Planet is in the works. The sign-ups to a closed beta test are open on the game’s website.

Inspired by the likes of Animal Crossing, Petit Planet is a casual, comfy game tasking players with building on and decorating a lovely little planet. Players can shape and connect entire worlds, gather adorable companions, plant, fish, cook, mine, and immerse themselves in other life sim activities. From character outfits over interior decorations to the terrain itself, everything is customizable.

Aside from this single-player component, Petit Planet sports multiplayer features: Players may visit the Galactic Bazaar, a persistent social hub that will host all kinds of events and allow them to hang out with others.

Petit Planet is the second HoYoverse project announced this year, following auto-chess game Honkai: Nexus Anima.
