2020 is nothing but eventful. Various unthinkable roster moves and retirement announcements have filled fans' newsfeeds in the past few weeks. Season 2021 will surely start with an explosion of excitement. Is it the brawl between Luka "Perkz" Perković, Nicolaj "Jensen" Jensen, Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage, and Daniele "Jiizuke" di Mauro? Is it the possibility of jungle camp in the top lane with Barney "Alphari" Morris, Finn "Finn" Wiestål, and Eric "Licorice" Ritchie? Or is Europe going to be a free region for G2 Esports? The community has been talking about the exciting roster.

3 Underrated League of Legends Roster Pick Ups

Not to be overlooked, the following are the three underrated signings ahead of the 2021 League of Legends season:

1. Fnatic Picks Up Nisqy and Upset

Losing Martin "Rekkles" Larsson to its competitor, G2 Esports, and signing Yasin "Nisqy" Dinçer from NA region may not be what Fnatic fans want. When Fnatic announced that Elias "Upset" Lipp is joining the black and orange squad, fans are being pessimistic about 2021. On paper, this should not be the case. Even though Origen – now Astralis – had a disappointing split this year, Upset is proven to be consistently doing well. In fact, in the 2020 Summer Split regular season, he had a KDA of 5.91, which was second to Rekkles. His has the highest CS/minute (422) and an average of 35.7% kill share in the team. Across the Atlantic at the same, Nisqy had the highest KDA and highest kill participation in the team despite the team's performance. Consistent Upset paired with aggressive Zdravets "Hylissang" Iliev Galabov and team player Nisqy combined with carry jungler Oskar "Selfmade" Boderek are a roster to be scared of.

2. Counter Logic Gaming and Its Veteran Lineup

While other teams import famous talents from other regions and promote academy players, CLG chose veteran bloods to fight in the Rift for 2021 season. Even though Mads "Broxah" Brock-Pedersen's performance was not as smooth in the Spring Split, he popped off during the Summer Split. Eugene "Pobelter" Park's unforgettable Syndra performance feels like yesterday. Jason "WildTurtle" Tran and Finn led Rogue and FlyQuest respectively in Worlds' Groups stage against the tournament contenders, despite the bad endings. Consistent veteran support Andy "Smoothie" Ta along with his teammates will no doubt prove that experience counts in League of Legends.

3. Golden Guardians Signs Rookies and Stixxay

Golden Guardians letting go of its entire 2020 roster shocked fans. Even more surprising is that GG opted to sign and promote young rookies into its 2021 lineup. To lead them, longtime CLG bot laner Stixxay has been brought to the team. GG did not stop at that; they made Leandro "Newbie" Marcos the second Latin American player to be imported to a major region – after Brandon Joel "Josedeodo" Villegas. Newbie may not be familiar yet to LCS fans but the Argentinian support is actually the first Latin American player who reached Challenger on Korean servers. He helped All Knights to finish first in LLA Opening and Closing with a victory in the LLA 2020 Opening Playoffs. This roster has the potential to be the dark horse in the upcoming season.
