Finding underrated weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone can be difficult with how top-heavy the game is at times compared to other popular battle royales.

For those looking to switch things up with their custom classes, yet remain as competitive as possible in the current weapon meta, here are the top five most underrated weapons to use in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5.

Kicking off the list is a weapon that has perhaps never gotten a chance in the weapon meta spotlight, the UGR SMG from Black Ops Cold War. It's quietly been buffed several times since it was first added and has become a fun weapon to use.

4. MG 82

Up next is a weapon that's long been an above-average weapon to use in Warzone, the MG 82. Statistically and in-game, the MG 82 can still compete with the best of them in TTK thanks to its great damage and recoil control.

Similar to the UGR, the Vargo 52 is another recently added Black Ops Cold War weapon that can absolutely compete in today's Warzone meta. With its low recoil and consistent TTK, the Vargo 52 more than holds its own at long ranges.

Coming at No. 1 on this list is the M1 Garand marksman rifle from Vanguard. In one of Raven Software's latest major balancing updates, not only was the M1 Garand buffed so that it now uses assault rifle ammunition, but it also had its flinch decreased by 33% and its muzzle velocity increased by 13.4%. This gun appears primed to turn many players into believers in the coming weeks.
