Our Warzone weapon tier list for September 2022 is here to go over which of the guns are the best to use now that the new meta has settled down a bit once again after the launch of Raven Software's latest major balancing update.

Since the initial Season 5 patch, Warzone players almost surprisingly haven't seen any weapon nerfs and buffs made just yet. However, that's not to say that the meta still isn't continuing to evolve. As such, here is how the weapons stack up in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 in September 2022.

September 2022 Warzone Weapon Rankings

S Tier

These options in the S Tier all form Warzone's weapon meta moving forward. Especially after the nerfs to the SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x optic, there are certainly several options that players can use for their main long-range option. For sniper support, look no further than the Volk, which should be a perfect option when paired with the newly buffed snipers. For the SMGs, perhaps the only "broken" option at the moment would be the Vanguard PPSh-41. Despite receiving major nerfs to start the new season, the Armaguerra 43, H4 Blixen and Marco 5 have remained to be strong options, all things considered.

A Tier

In the A Tier are a wide variety of options that are top tier viable and remain generally very balanced to use in Warzone. Essentially, these options are right outside of the main meta but are still able to get the job done and allow you to be competitive. A good sign at the moment is the fact that there are a whopping 19 SMGs that make the cut here, including the newly buffed P90.

B Tier

These weapons in the B Tier remain viable in Season 4 Reloaded, but could all use some buffs to make more players seriously consider mastering them. Overall, these weapons are just fine but don't have anything that makes them stand out as fun or exciting options to use. A lot of these are fairly popular still but aren't as statistically sound compared to the guns above. After initially turning heads with its laser rifle properties, the EX1 does seem like more of a casual, gimmick gun rather than a melt machine.

C Tier

The C Tier includes guns that definitely could use a buff in Warzone. Taking a look at the list of options here, there just aren't any inspiring names worth grabbing in a custom loadout drop at the moment.

D Tier

At this point in the tier list, these guns don't have a place in the meta at all. Although the higher end of this tier could perhaps be fine for players to still somehow get a kill or two, it gets pretty dreadful by the bottom of the list. The new Valois Revolver has dropped here, unfortunately, as it has simply proven to be less than ideal performance-wise. Unfortunately, unlike the P90, the Striker 45 is still not worth equipping at all.
