League of Legends Patch 10.23 will include items changes, new champion skins, adjustment in the jungle, and various pre-season changes.

Here are five things we prefer not to see in the third-to-last patch of 2020.

5 Things We Don't Want in League of Legends Patch 10.23

1. Item Changes

Even though summoners would want to see the changes in items such as the addition of Mythic items, new players who are just getting a hang of the game will be greatly confused by the seemingly drastic change. This means that they will have to learn some of the items all over again. Not only that, the icon for these items are going to change as well!

2. Katarina Gets Big Buff

Katarina is one of highest skill cap champions. Her ability to blink from one spot to another makes it hard for her enemies to kill her. She has not been featured in pro plays in major tournaments, perhaps that is the reason for her upcoming buff. Her passive, Voracity will now applies on-hit effects to all units struck. Her Shunpo (E) also deals on-hit effects. Her ultimate, Death Lotus will apply on-hit effects at 33% efficiency to all units struck (each unit is hit for a total of 3x Katarins on-hits over the full 2.5 seconds channel duration). This makes her a nightmare in teamfights.

3. Legendary Items Removed

Some of our beloved items will be removed. The list includes:

• Adaptive Helm

• Athene’s Unholy Grail

• Frozen Mallet

• Hextech GLP-800

• Hextech Gunblade

• Spellbinder

• Statikk Shiv

• Twin Shadows

• All Jungle items

Even though we will be getting new items, these items will be greatly missed.

4. Conqueror (Precision Keystone) Change

AD Carry mains will appreciate the increase of adaptive force per stack from 1.7-4.2 to 2-5. However, the decrease in heal effect provided by the runes from 15% to 9% and ranged heal effect decrease to 6% translate to less sustainability for the already-underpowered role.

5. Increased Mana for OP Champions

There are 20 champions that will receive increased 20 mana per level. Even though this can be negligible in the late game, this small buff can make a difference early game. Some champions who are already constant picks in pro plays such as Fiora or Camille will slightly gain an advantage. These champions are listed below:

• Camille

• Corki

• Darius

• Fiora

• Hecarim

• Gangplank

• Illaoi

• Irelia

• Jax

• Kayn

• Nasus

• Olaf

• Skarner

• Udyr

• Vi

• Warwick

• Xin Zhao

• Yorick
