Apex Legends New Map District Teased for Season 20

After months of leaks, another teaser just dropped for the rumored Apex Legends new map, District, possibly coming in Season 20.

2023 was the first year that Respawn Entertainment did not release a new map in Apex Legends. Broken Moon, the last Battle Royale map to hit Apex Legends, came out in November 2022. Since then, fans only received changes to the current map pool, like the recent improvements to Storm Point. Fortunately, it looks like a new map is on its way to the Battle Royale after a very lengthy delay.

Apex Legends New Map District Teased for Season 20

A new teaser just leaked for District, the rumored new map possibly coming to Apex Legends in Season 20. District would be the sixth Battle Royale map added to Apex Legends since its release back in 2019.

Reliable Apex Legends leaker, HYPERMYST, posted an image of an emergency alert that reads, "Due to a breach at Humbert Labs, all residents of Electro District are to evacuate immediately. Highly toxic chemicals from the lab have compromised water and air quality and emergency procedures have failed due to rolling blackouts." The warning then emphasizes, "THIS IS NOT A DRILL."

The alert concludes, "Please take only what's necessary and head for mainland Suotamo. Residents cannot remain within District boundaries."

Although the teaser does not reveal a photo of the actual map, it does seem to confirm that it is indeed coming to Apex Legends. Previous leaks revealed the map will sport a heavy influence from Titanfall 2, similar to King's Canyon.

When Does Apex Legends Season 20 Start?

Apex Legends Season 20 starts on Feb. 13, 2024. Many fans are expecting either a new map or new Legend to drop in Season 20. If Respawn Entertainment winds up holding District until the end of the year, then we will likely see a new Legend join the game in February.

HYPERMYST revealed a photo of some game files that acknowledge a new Legend named Cave is coming to the Battle Royale in the future. As of now, any background for the Legend is unknown.
