Banette in Pokemon GO is one of the less common seen Pokemon, since it's a Ghost-type.

Banette is a ghost-type Pokemon from Generation III, meaning it originally appeared in Sapphire, Ruby, and Emerald alongside the Hoenn region. Also known as the Marionette Pokemon, Banette has been described as the spirit of a plush toy that was haphazardly discarded and lays "strong curses by sticking pins into its own body." Its PokeDex number is 354.

Again, Banette is a ghost type—so, like all ghost-types, certain criteria needs to be met before it can be encountered.

Ghost-type Pokemon exclusively spawn between the hours of 8 p.m. and 8 a.m., spiking at 2 a.m. Trainers have also reported success finding ghost-types in foggy weather and have found higher rates in urban areas such as cities.

Banette can also be evolved from another Hoenn ghost-type called Shuppet using 50 candies. The same rules apply to catching Shuppet as they do to its evolved form. Additionally, Shuppet can be hatched from 5 km eggs at any time.

Banette has a maximum CP of 2073, an attack stat of 218, defense of 127, and stamina of 128. Its best moveset is Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball.
