Wondering whether or not Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has Zombies? We've got you covered.

Ever since their series debut in Call of Duty: World at War (2008), Zombies have been a staple part of COD titles, as seen most recently with both Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard. As such, here's a breakdown of whether or not Modern Warfare 2 has Zombies.

Does Modern Warfare 2 Have Zombies?

Unfortunately, Modern Warfare 2 does not have a Zombies mode at launch and it does not appear that one will be added to the game in the foreseeable future.

This is perhaps to be expected since, aside from Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016), Infinity Ward hasn't really been known for offering Zombies modes and tends to leave that to Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games.

Instead, as has been the case with Modern Warfare 2 (2009), Modern Warfare 3 (2011) and Modern Warfare (2019), Infinity Ward has opted to include Special Ops as its third main mode alongside Campaign and Multiplayer.

In the new MW2, Special Ops has returned as a tactical, two-player co-op mode that invites players to continue the story after the Campaign concludes to explore large-scale hot zones in a number of branching operations. The experience initially features three missions at launch, all taking place in Al Mazrah.

As far as a simple Infected Multiplayer playlist goes, which has been featured in Modern Warfare 3 (2011), Modern Warfare (2019) and Black Ops Cold War, it remains to be seen if the mode will eventually be added to MW2 as no announcement or leaks have pointed in that direction just yet.

Of course, there's also a possibility that Warzone 2.0 could feature Zombies in some aspect, as the original battle royale featured them in limited-time modes and events.
