Recently, the developers have released some iconic new emotes, including the Interstellar Bass Emote and Rain Check Emote, inspired by viral songs and trends. Last night, the latest item to hit the Item Shop was the Jubi Slide Emote.

Here's why the Jubi Slide Emote did not last even a full day in the Fortnite Item Shop.

Here's Why Epic Games Removed Fortnite Jubi Slide Emote

Epic Games removed the Fortnite Jubi Slide Emote from the Item Shop on the same night as its release. As soon as the emote dropped, Fortnite fans noticed its similarity to the Side Shuffle Emote. In fact, when you use the two side by side, they are exactly the same.

Many players immediately took to X to expose the reused emote, and soon, the entire community was talking about the Jubi Slide Emote. Some players called for refunds while others just laughed at the similar release.

Epic Games surely saw the discourse, though, because they quickly removed the emote from the Item Shop and posted, "We've removed the Item Shop row containing the Jubi Slide Emote. We’ll circle back once we’ve taken a close look at it."

The Fortnite Jubi Slide emote was also bugged in LEGO Fortnite, so that could have played a role in its removal as well.

No, it is unlikely the Fortnite Jubi Slide Emote is coming back to the Item Shop, at least as it was. If it does return, we expect Epic Games to change the emote in some way so it is not identical to the Side Shuffle Emote.

How to Get Fortnite Jubi Slide Emote

Should the Fortnite Jubi Slide Emote return to the Item Shop, fans can simply purchase the item for 500 V-Bucks. Once the purchase is complete, the emote will be added to their Locker.

Until a rerelease, though, there is no way to currently get the Fortnite Jubi Slide Emote.
