Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 has been shrouded in mystery for the last few months. At first, leaks revealed a huge in-game LEGO collaboration for the final season of Chapter 4, but those rumors quickly got debunked. Now, new reports and teasers from both reliable members of the Fortnite community and Epic Games themselves all-but confirm the OG Fortnite map is making its grand return to the Battle Royale.

Here's Why the OG Fortnite Map is Coming Back
The OG Fortnite map is likely coming back to the Battle Royale to close out Chapter 4 in style. Instead of introducing a few new POIs, Epic Games is reportedly taking fans on a journey through time, back to the maps that made their game famous.
Along with the nostalgia factor, the return of the OG Fortnite maps fits right in with the current lore. Vampire Kado Thorne's Time Machine allowed him to bring back all fan-favorite Mythic items from previous seasons to Fortnite Last Resort. Now, it seems his machine might malfunction and leave players on one of the OG Fortnite maps.
There were also rumors of a possible map destruction as leaked voice lines from Dr. Slone warned, "We need to get off this island. As soon as we can." Although many believe the complete annihilation of the current Fortnite map will come at the beginning of Chapter 5, perhaps this is the precursor to the upcoming changes.
When is the OG Fortnite Map Coming Back?
The OG Fortnite map is likely coming back on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, at 4 a.m. ET. As Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 replaces Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4, one of the original Fortnite maps from Chapter 1 will become available to play.
At this time, leaks reveal several OG Fortnite maps will consume Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 in weekly rotations. Epic Games has yet to confirm the format just yet, but they already teased a trip to the Chapter 1 Season 5 map.
