Wondering how to change your character in Tower of Fantasy (ToF)? We've got you covered.

After initially launching in 2021 and finding success with gamers in China, ToF is now officially available worldwide.

As with any free-to-play, open-world MMOARPG, the first thing many will want to know is how the character system works, particularly with the available customization features. Here's a breakdown of everything you need to know about changing your character in Tower of Fantasy.

How to Change Character in Tower of Fantasy

In Tower of Fantasy, players are first instructed to pick between using a male or female character. Be sure to note that there currently isn't a way to change from male to female or vice versa after this initial choice, unfortunately.

Next, after meeting some of the Astra Shelter's friendliest, players will then be able to customize their Wanderer with selections for outfits, body type, skin color, eye color and more, though more drastic changes cost 100 Dark Crystals each time. There are also community-made presets that players can upload and download.

Now, in terms of the actual combat, those new to ToF should take note of the Simulacrum system.

Simulacrum are described as ancient heroes preserved as AI that, when equipped, gives players access to their special weapon and abilities. Players can even equip different Simulacrum to their different weapon slots to suit their playstyle.

Simulacrum can be obtained by playing the game, or by buying them with real money.

While equipped, players can also choose to replace their Wanderer's look with that of a Simulacrum, but this is optional.

Tower of Fantasy is available now on PC, iOS and Android.
