Mass Effect Item Available in Apex Legends for Game Pass Members

Another Apex Legends crossover is live, and this time the featured game is Mass Effect. While it seemingly hasn't been confirmed, Apex Legends players with Game Pass are able to redeem a code through their Game Pass perks and receive a weapon charm from BioWare's Mass Effect. EA, which publishes both games, has not announced the event, but both the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One dashboard show an image of an N7 item that Apex Legends players can acquire.

A GameSpot reader shared Thursday the N7 charm was something he could see on his Series X dashboard. At that time, though, attempting to redeem the offer brought Series X/S users to the Game Pass perks page, where there was no mention of the Mass Effect reward.

Although not a traditional leak, this promotion for the N7 item probably went out ahead of its intended preview time. The photo above is the in-game customization menu for weapon charms, where the Mass Effect charm is now active and can be put onto your weapons after redeeming it.

How to Get Mass Effect Item in Apex Legends

Now, the charm is 100 percent available for redemption, at least on the Xbox One S. The photo above is something I took an in-system screenshot shot of through my Xbox One S. In the middle of writing this article, I took it upon myself to see if I could access the charm on my system. Lo and behold, it was available.

Redeeming the charm is a relatively easy process. Boot up your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One. Open Game Pass, navigate your way to the perks. You should see the charm available. Click on it, and click "claim." The next page will bring you to an option that says "Redeem your Perk now." Follow the instructions from there, and you should have your N7 Charm claimed.

Lastly, open Apex Legends on your system. If you did everything correctly you'll be prompted with a message from EA saying that your reward was redeemed. When you get to the weapon charm menu look for an Epic Charm titled "Mass Effect." If you see it, you did it correctly!

Nothing else about a crossover between the two series seemed to stick out. It's unclear at this time whether or not more cosmetics will be available, but for now the N7 charm is available for Game Pass members.
