Our Warzone Pacific Mid-Season 1 assault rifle tier list is here to break down which of the guns are the best to use in Caldera and Rebirth Island with the launch of Raven Software's Mid-Season Update.

Midway through the debut season of the Warzone Pacific era, Raven continues to churn out patches in hopes of fixing issues and balancing the meta. With their latest patch, plenty of the player base's popular options at the moment received tweaks in particular. As such, here are the best assault rifles to use in Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific after the update.

In the S Tier are six ARs that have established themselves as ahead of the rest of the pack. Similar to the Krig 6 back in its heyday, the STG44 has become the most popular AR in this game. Although the STG44 isn't necessarily the best of the best mid-to-long range option at the moment, it is the quintessential "meta" assault rifle to use right now. For those looking for the best sniper support option in the game, look no further than the Cooper Carbine. Meanwhile, the Black Ops Cold War AK-47, C58, XM4, and EM2 have still translated to high K/D ratios for those using them so feel free to keep rolling them out.

In A Tier are a wide variety of options that are top tier viable and remain generally very balanced to use in Warzone. Essentially, these options are sitting right outside of the main meta, but are still able to get the job done and allow you to be competitive. After the update, the Automaton, NZ-41, and BAR are inching closer to S Tier, but just aren't quite exceptional yet. For those way behind on the Vanguard and Black Ops Cold War guns, the RAM-7, CR-56 AMAX, Grau 5.56, FARA 83, QBZ-83, and GRAV aren't too far off. The Volk and AS 44 would be the best sniper support options in the game if it weren't for the Cooper Carbine.

B Tier

  • Kilo 141
  • FFAR 1
  • M13
  • M4A1
  • Krig 6
  • AS VAL
  • Groza

These weapons in B Tier remain viable, but could still use a slight buff in order for more players to seriously consider using them. Ultimately, a lot of these are fairly popular still (e.g. Kilo 141, M13, M4A1) but aren't as good statistically compared to the guns above.

The C Tier includes rifles that definitely need a buff in Warzone. An unfortunate, but telling sign of the times is that even in the new Warzone Pacific era, all of these guns as well as the ones below it, save for the disappointing Itra Burst, are all from Modern Warfare.

D Tier

  • AK-47 (MW)
  • Oden
  • FR 5.56

At this point in the tier list, these ARs are not close to having a place in the meta. They have long been weak in a lot of departments and remain irrelevant.
