The mid-season update for Call of Duty: Warzone has launched, and with the launch, we bring our Warzone Season 2 Reloaded SMG Tier List. Some weapons have seen themselves rise or fall since our last tier list, so it is time for another look at which SMGs we think you should be using in Verdansk.
Warzone Season 2 Reloaded SMG Tier List
- MP5 (Cold War)
These SMGs will continue to be dominant in the latest update. The MAC-10 has remained at the top of SMG tier list since its release, and the LC10 has proven to be a great alternative after its introduction in Season 2. The Cold War MP5 can keep up with the aforementioned weapons, as the three have a rock-paper-scissors relationship when it comes to shots to kill, reload times, and overall fire rate.
- MP5 (Modern Warfare)
A-Tier SMGs are nothing to shy away from, as their stats are nearly at that S-Tier level, but a few weak points prevent them from reaching any higher. Pairing them with the right partner can counteract these weaknesses, such as a Kar98K / Fennec loadout, but nonetheless, they are strong on their own.
While the Cold War and Modern Warfare MP5s both share the same shots-to-kill stats up close, the Cold War MP5 proves better at range, and has better mobility, ADS (aim down sight speed), reload speed, and overall fire rate.
- PP19 Bizon
Nothing is particularly wrong with the B-Tier SMGs, and in the hands of a moderately skilled player they can put out some solid damage numbers. They do require a stricter attachment choice for peak performance, but at their best, they are nothing to shy away from.
- Striker 45
- Milano 821
- KSP 45
These SMGs all have their place, much like the middle pieces of a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle. It's easier to solve the outside of the puzzle first, and the S, A, and even at times B-Tier SMGs are all your outside pieces. You can try to use these weapons if you're up for the challenge, but unless you're an above-average player you'll find yourself having a harder time outclassing anyone up close.
Coming to a close, the only D-Tier SMG in Season 2 Reloaded of Warzone is the ISO. With the right attachments, it may be useful in multiplayer, but with the increase in player health it's not a viable option in Warzone.
