With the official launch of Season One on Dec. 16, Activision confirmed what many Call of Duty players have long desired—a new Warzone map.

When Does the New Warzone Map Come Out?

While the news that the launch of Season One for Warzone and Black Ops Cold War had been delayed surely was a bit of a letdown, it appears Activision is working to quickly make up for that by giving battle royale players what had been originally promised, and then some.

In addition to the 30-plus Black Ops Cold War weapons and Blueprints being integrated into Warzone, Activision has stated that a new Warzone map, game mode and Gulag experience will be ready to play on day one of Season One.

Needless to say, Verdansk has seen massive success, drawing battle royale fans from numerous competing titles upon its debut back in March. Although the developers will surely look to bring more changes to the original map down the line, a new map is much needed to breathe some new life into the game.
