Being that Ghostwire: Tokyo is, in a sense, an open-world game, it's perhaps no surprise that it too has a quest that sends players on a journey to find and interact with all of a certain type of a collectible. This time, players who complete the Tanuki Hunt side mission at the Shiroyama Shrine are then invited to hunt 25 Japanese raccoon dogs hidden high up on rooftops, in parks, alleyways, underneath bridges and more. With the highly-anticipated action-adventure game finally out now for PlayStation 5 and PC, here's a breakdown of where to find all of the Tanuki in Ghostwire: Tokyo.

Ultimately, collecting the Tanukis should be well worth the hassle as it nets players Emotes and Charms that are useful during combat, just be sure to look out for their distinct tails and use that Spectral Vision:
Shiroyama Shrine Area Tanuki Locations
- Can be found down the steps near the Boss Tanuki disguised as a metal pot
- Can be found in the southern section of the Shiroyama Shrine area on the rooftops in front of a large red billboard disguised as a mini Torii Gate
- Can be found under the large highway in the southeastern corner of the Shiroyama Shrine area by a white lorry and parking pay point station disguised as a red vending machine
Akisawa Shrine Area Tanuki Locations
- Can be found northwest of the Akisawa Shrine in an alleyway that has a dog out in front disguised as a mini Torii Gate
- Can be found during the "After the End II" side mission on the corner of the roof of a building near an audio log disguised as a traffic cone
Chishima Shrine Area Tanuki Location
- Can be found in the northeast corner of the Chishima Shrine area disguised as a phone booth next to a tree near an actual phone booth
Hastuike Shrine Area Tanuki Location
- Can be found in the eastern side of the Hastuike Shrine and up the stairs toward the forest disguised as a red office chair
Hitani Shrine Area Tanuki Locations
- Can be found north of the "Dire Straits" side mission marker near a park bench in a small side alley disguised as some instant noodles
- Can be found at the western end of the main highway that runs across the Hitani Shrine area enclosed within a small metal fence on some electrical boxes disguised as a Daruma
Kamio Shrine Area Tanuki Location
- Can be found in the southeast of the map across the road from the Netsuke Collector Nekomata stall disguised as two red Daruma stacked on top of each other
Kuo Shrine Area Tanuki Locations
- Can be found north of the Kuo Shrine in the Shibuara Park Landmark disguised as a rocking panda seesaw
- Can be found south of the main highway on the northeastern corner of a tall building disguised as an electric sign
Mikubo Shrine Area Tanuki Location
- Can be found south of the Mikubo Shrine on top of the second building on a generator disguised as a porcelain Tanuki statue
Morite Shrine Area Tanuki Location
- Can be found east of the Morite Shrine above a billboard looking out at the Shibuya Scramble Crossing Landmark disguised as a satellite dish
Namihara Shrine Area Tanuki Location
- Can be found in the northwest corner of the map right next to the Namihara Shrine on a building next to a satellite dish is disguised as a yellow LED shop sign
Namita Shrine Area Tanuki Location
- Can be found west of the Namita Shrine on a roof above a cat and disguised as a porcelain tanuki statue.
Onten Shrine Area Tanuki Location
- Can be found north of the Onten Shrine behind a Convenience Store on a bench disguised as a cardboard box
Saihama Building Rooftop Torii Gate Area Tanuki Location
- Can be found north of the Saihama area in a back garden of a set of flats disguised as a porcelain tanuki statue
Shimokusa Shrine Area Tanuki Location
- Can be found south of the Karakasa-kozo side activity in the Shimokusa Shrine area in a graveyard surrounded by buildings and bicycles disguised as a gravestone
Tatsui Shrine Area Tanuki Location
- Can be found southwest of the Archeology Nekomata stall toward the border of the Tatsui Shrine area underneath the highway at the end of a long run of bicycles disguised as two red Daruma stacked on top of each other
Toyoi Shrine Area Tanuki Location
- Can be found near the western fog on the western edge of the map in a small parking lot disguised as a vending machine
Utagawa Shopping District Torii Gate Area Tanuki Locations
- Can be found in the Utagawa area northeast at the end of the river by a metal gate on the left walkway disguised as a small brown door
- Can be found south of the building that the "Nesting Evil" side mission takes place in on top of a building disguised as a a large billboard
- Can be found west of the Sengokuzaka Landmark on the ground floor of the shopping center in a small gap disguised as a red and white vending machine
Yashin Shrine Area Tanuki Locations
- Can be found in the center of the city at the middle entrance to the large construction site disguised as a cardboard traffic sign cutout
