HSR 3.4 Aedes Elysiae walkthrough – Wind Chime puzzle, achievements, and Cyrene hangouts
By Marco Wutz

Phainon has been talking about his cozy hometown Aedes Elysiae ever since we met him and in Version 3.4 of Honkai: Star Rail we’re finally dropping by for a visit. Like he described, it’s merely a small village surrounded by golden wheat fields — but it’s a special place as well, protected by Oronyx and their manipulation of time.
Table of Contents
Obviously, the place is a reference to the Elysian Fields, a paradisiacal part of the underworld in Greek mythology. But for Honkai fans, there is a second meaning to the name: Translated from Latin into English, Aedes Elysiae means Elysia’s Temple — and so it’s fitting that Cyrene, who’s heavily inspired by Honkai Impact 3rd’s Elysia, can be found hanging out around the village.
There are some Golden Scapegoat puzzles in Aedes Elysiae alongside some Prophecy Tablets as well as a total of 17 Treasure Chests, but the true treasure of this map are its side stories. In every corner of the village there are things to be discovered and achievements to be earned, so here’s a walkthrough of Aedes Elysiae and its secrets in HSR 3.4.
Achievements in Aedes Elysiae
Yesterday Once More
Phainon’s parents, teacher, and neighbors can be found around Aedes Elysiae and all of them offer a special dialog option that allows you to observe one of Phainon’s memories. Do so and earn yourself the Yesterday Once More achievement.
Fast Are Two Seals
After you speak with Cyrene for the first time, you’ll notice a pink seal hanging out in the water near her swing. Called Solitary Leopard, it will tell you how manly and powerful it is and that it’s looking for a worthy opponent.
You can find this opponent down at the docks, where a grey seal called Lonely Leopard waits. Speak to it and bring the two together. Although you and Cyrene had looked forward to a fight, the two seals merely wanted companionship and not a battle. You’ll at least get the Fast Are Two Seals achievement for your troubles.
Kidnapping for Purchase
There is another animal hanging out around Aedes Elysiae — an adorable Chimera. It will flee after the first time you talk to it, but you can find it near Cyrene’s swing a little later, where you’ll be able to pick out a name for it. That’ll grant you the Kidnapping for Purchase achievement.
Jurassic Garden
Down at the little market area, where Phainon’s sword practice scarecrow stands, you’ll find a road that’s blocked by some sacks and other items. Interact with the obstacle to discover that Aedes Elysiae is being targeted by a rampaging Dromas.
However, as you try to stop it, Cyrene comes along and urges you to ride the Dromas with her, unlocking the Jurassic Garden achievement and yet another romantic memory.
Jingle Bells
You’ll notice a pink wind chime dangling from the Sacrament Courtyard, the large building next to the area with Cyrene’s swing. Ring it a couple of times by targeting it with a ranged attack after you’ve spoken with Cyrene for the first time and be surprised by the event that’s unfolding.
You can then ring it two more times after that for different results and another time after you’ve named the Chimera. Once you’ve seen all four events related to this chime, you’ll get the Jingle Bells achievement.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Deep in the Membrance Maze, you’ll find a fairy called Similimem practicing dancing next to a lyre that plays melodies without needing a musician. Speak to Similimem and promise to drop by to watch their performance.
This will summon an entire group of dancing Mems. Speak with Similimem again to earn the A Midsummer Night’s Dream achievement and remember this location — it’ll come in handy later.
Welcome to Aedes Elysiae
Not all Mems are as friendly as Similimem. You can interact with one of the little fairy houses in the Maze, knocking on its door. If you repeatedly do so, the annoyed Mem living inside the hut will come out and deliver the Welcome to Aedes Elysiae achievement to you.
Steps Echo in the Valley
This one is pretty heartwarming: One of the mailboxes you can interact with has a letter for Phainon in it. Since he can’t answer, you can decide to do it for him. If you stick to your role, being friendly and giving helpful advice, you can encourage Phainon’s pen pel Mifamem to depart on their own adventure and leave without any regrets.
Completing this little side story nets you the Steps Echo in the Valley achievement.
The Red Flower and the Six Grains
You can also find some plant seeds in Membrance Maze to entice Cyrene to do some gardening with you in the Sacrament Court.
Aside from the main group of pots pictured below, several other plant pots in the Sacrament Court can house seedlings.
Plant seeds in all the available pots to unlock The Red Flower and the Six Grains as an achievement.
How to solve the prophecy’s wind chime puzzle in Aedes Elysiae
Chirping Secret: Melodic Chimes of the Ancients
Naturally, Aedes Elysiae has some Nymphs to find — there’s a total of ten and they’re not well hidden this time around. The most difficult to find are one that’s hiding in a bush in Membrance Maze and one that’s taking a ride on a flying pig visible from the upper floor of the Sacrament Courtyard.
Once you’ve collected all ten Nymphs, Garmentmaker will provide you with a prophecy revolving around dancing and wind chimes and a melody. If you’ve already done the A Midsummer Night’s Dream achievement, you know where to go: To the self-playing lyre and the dancing Mems in Membrance Maze.
The prophecy speaks of “three, spiraling wild dances around the courtyard,” so run three circles around the lyre. This will summon eight wind chimes of different colors, taunting you to play a melody on them. But what melody?
The correct order to play the wind chimes is:
- 2, 5, 2, 5, 7, 6, 5, 5
This nets you a rich treasure chest, a Golden Fruit, and the achievement Chirping Secret: Melodic Chimes of the Ancients.
Hanging out with Cyrene in Aedes Elysiae
A Tale's Page Engraved
When you speak to Cyrene for the first time in Aedes Elysia after completing HSR 3.4’s story, she’ll reconfirm that she’s Mem — just in case you didn’t put two and two together yet. She’ll also make a bit of a meta comment about game versions and having to wait for the next one before the story can continue. However, to sweeten the waiting time, you can actually spend quite a bit of time with Cyrene, doing little activities together.
When you’re bored, simply talk to Cyrene and invite her out — you’ll play hide-and-seek, build Trailblazer scarecrows, go fishing, enjoy the scenic views together, and more.
All of these hangouts earn you Memory Crystal Shards and often contain voiced lines. Furthermore, they seem to fulfill the hope Cyrene has stated at the end of HSR 3.3: That this will be a romantic story, like none that has come before.
Once you've completed all the dates with Cyrene, this will trigger a side mission called Ripples Destined to Rise Again, in which Cyrene asks you to help her search for a lost item. You merely need to follow the directions the game gives you to achieve this and will earn the achievement A Tale's Page Engraved as a reward.
Need the most fitting character to explore this map? Worry not, as Phainon is available on the HSR 3.4 banners.
