Umamusume: How to get Triple Tiara and Triple Crown

Learn how to earn these magnificent Epithets.
Cygames

After completing a career in Umamusume: Pretty Derby, you get to choose an Epithet for your fresh Veteran Umamusume — a title that speaks of her accomplishments. Naturally, the selection depends on the races you’ve participated in and won as well as other factors. Some Epithets have quite tricky unlock conditions.

Others are a little more straightforward, even though they are highly prestigious, such as the Triple Tiara and Triple Crown.

Here’s how to unlock the Triple Tiara and Triple Crown Epithets in Umamusume.

How to get Triple Tiara in Umamusume

Unlocking the Triple Tiara Epithet can only be done by winning the following three races on the calendar:

  • Oka Sho (G1, Turf, Hanshin, Mile, 1,600m) – Year 2, Early April
  • Japanese Oaks (G1, Turf, Tokyo, Medium, 2,400m) – Year 2, Late May
  • Shuka Sho (G1, Turf, Kyoto, Medium, 2,000m) – Year 2, Late October

Winning two out of these three races grants the Epithet Double Tiara. If your Umamusume has inherited the memories of a Veteran Umamusume that has won the Triple Tiara and repeats the feat, you’ll earn the even more valuable Way of Queens Epithet. If both Veteran and Trainee have managed to achieve this feat while remaining undefeated, you’ll earn the True Way of Queens Epithet.

How to get Triple Crown in Umamusume

Unlocking the Triple Crown Epithet, too, requires victory in three specific races on the calendar:

  • Satsuki Sho (G1, Turf, Nakayama, Medium, 2,000m) – Year 2, Early April
  • Japanese Derby (G1, Turf, Tokyo, Medium, 2,400m) – Year 2, Late May
  • Kikuka Sho (G1, Turf, Kyoto, Long, 3,000m) – Year 2, Late October

Winning two out of these three races grants the Epithet Double Crown. Similar to how the Triple Tiara has the Way of Queens and True Way of Queens follow-up Epithets, heirs of Triple Crown winners can earn the Way of Kings and True Way of Kings titles.

If you choose a Veteran with the Triple Tiara and one with the Triple Crown for a Trainee, then completing this Trainee’s career also grants the humorous Nepo Uma Epithet.

As you can see, the Tiara and Crown races happen at the same time, which is why you’ll usually have to decide on which of these outstanding achievements you’ll want to pursue.

The above Epithet references the classic Triple Crown, but there are two other Triple Crown titles you can get for winning three specific races.

Senior Spring Triple Crown

  • Osaka Hai (G1, Turf, Hanshin, Medium, 2,000m) – Year 3, Late March
  • Tenno Sho (Spring) (G1, Turf, Kyoto, Long, 3,200m) – Year 3, Late April
  • Takarazuka Kinen (G1, Turf, Hanshin, Medium, 2,200m) – Year 3, Late June

Senior Autumn Triple Crown

  • Tenno Sho (Autumn) (G1, Turf, Tokyo, Medium, 2,000m) – Year 3, Late October
  • Japan Cup (G1, Turf, Tokyo, Medium, 2,400m) – Year 3, Late November
  • Arima Kinen (G1, Turf, Nakayama, Long, 2,500m) – Year 3, Late December

The Classic Triple Crown is one of the most prestigious achievements in Japanese horse racing and in the world of Umamusume, especially if managed while remaining undefeated. In real-life, Symboli Rudolf was the first Japanese horse to achieve the latter, which is why the character is regarded as such a legend in the Umamusume anime and other media. Make sure to pick the best Support Cards and best Umamusume to chase after these achievements.
