Head back to the mines, HSR fans – a new Planar Ornament set powers the DoT comeback
By Marco Wutz

Long have we waited for a resurgence of the DoT archetype in Honkai: Star Rail and it looks like our watch is finally coming to an end in the near future: The devs have officially unveiled the two Planar Ornament sets coming to the game with Version 3.4 on July 2, 2025, and one of them is quite promising for DoT enjoyers.
- Revelry by the Sea (2) – +12% ATK, +12%/24% DoT DMG if the wearer’s ATK is at least 2,400/3,600 or higher.
While Revelry by the Sea’s prime purpose is very likely to serve as the best-in-slot set for future character Hysilens, who is heavily implied to be DoT-focused in the Divergent Universe, some of the existing characters serving the DoT archetype also benefit from this set.
That said, the gains for existing characters look to be more on the comfort-side, as the damage gained by the new set compared to running established builds is only moderate. If you’re using Firmament Frontline: Glamoth on Kafka and reach the 160 SPD necessary to make full use of its bonuses, then your damage gain from Revelry by the Sea at 3,600 ATK will be about 6% — not a massive improvement.
However, it’s much easier to reach the 3,600 ATK breakpoint than 160 SPD, so anyone who’s not running a fully optimized Glamoth set-up yet should earnestly think about farming the new set.
Black Swan is another potential user of Revelry by the Sea, if you’re running her with a focus on ATK instead of Effect Hit Rate. Black Swan does not want high SPD, so Glamoth isn’t an optimal pick anyway, making Revelry by the Sea a straight upgrade as opposed to the sidegrade it is for Kafka. That said, you’ll want to ensure that you get at least 75% Effect Hit Rate on Black Swan going forward, because HSR 3.4’s buffs will allow Kafka to increase any ally’s ATK by 100% if they manage to reach that breakpoint. This, in turn, would make it much easier for Black Swan to make full use of Revelry by the Sea.
Between Hysilens coming out in HSR 3.5, Kafka receiving buffs, and this set coming online, the DoT archetype is looking at its best chance for a resurgence in a long time.
The second Planar Ornament set coming with HSR 3.4 looks to be designed for Phainon and team comps that go all in on Remembrance characters.
- Arcadia of Woven Dreams (2) – +9%/12% DMG for the wearer and their Memosprite (stacking up to 4/3 times) for each additional/missing target, if there are currently more or less than four ally targets in battle.
Phainon’s Ultimate temporarily removes all of his allies from the battlefield, allowing him to gain 36% DMG as long as the team stays away. A team featuring four Remembrance characters can field four Memosprites and therefore also generate a 36% DMG bonus for the wearer of Arcadia of Woven Dreams, stacking the 9% DMG bonus four times as opposed to stacking the other one three times.
For the moment, though, none of the existing Remembrance characters will prefer this over their current builds: Aglaea and Hyacine are too dependent on SPD, while Castorice is desperate for more HP and Trailblazer (Remembrance) is simply not there to deal damage.
