Creative Assembly announced that Total War: Warhammer 3 – Tides of Torment will be released on December 4, 2025, for PC, marking yet another delay for the troubled DLC. Update 7.0, which will contain reworks for the three races featured in the expansion – Daemons of Slaanesh, Norsca, and High Elves – will arrive on the same day with a brand-new Total War Mod Manager in tow.

“We know this is frustrating for you; it is for all of us too. In short, it’s been a frustrating year, but we absolutely do not want to repeat past mistakes,” Creative Assembly stated

The studio added: “Tides of Torment brings three great new experiences with it, and we want to make sure that the game itself is in the best possible condition when it arrives. We'll be using this additional time to deepen the level of quality planned for the accompanying Game Update 7.0, and ensuring that Tides of Torment benefits from this focus.”

CA will begin revealing gameplay for Tides of Torment on November 6, 2025.

Tides of Torment is now set to be available on the same day as the highly-anticipated Total War showcase, where CA will reveal the next Total War games. It looks like December 4 is going to be a very important day for the franchise.

Total War: Warhammer 3 recently slipped back into negative Steam ratings, as fans rallied against issues with the game’s AI that had been left unattended. A hotfix for this was released earlier this week, which has seemingly fixed the most critical problem, although a few related issues remain to be addressed.
