Ubisoft is officially coming to Gamescom 2025: The organizer confirmed Ubisoft’s attendance in a post on Instagram, revealing that one of the company’s big focuses is going to be Anno 117: Pax Romana, its upcoming city-builder.

This is not a huge surprise — Anno 117 is not only one of Ubisoft’s biggest upcoming games, the city-builder series has a massive following in Germany, partly because of the genre being popular in the country and partly because the franchise is being developed not far away from Cologne at Ubisoft’s German studios. It’s pretty much a home game for Anno.

What else Ubisoft is bringing to the exhibition is still up in the air, but the upcoming Summer Game Fest showcases could reveal a couple more titles from the studio that we might see in Cologne, in spite of Ubisoft delaying some of its biggest games for more development time.

Anno 117 is set to be released in Winter 2025 and to continue the series’ strong momentum by building and greatly expanding on the foundations of Anno 1800.

Ubisoft is the second big publisher confirmed to join Gamescom 2025 following Nintendo. The world's largest video game convention is set to take place from August 20 to 24, 2025.
