We have our updated tier list of the best SMGs in Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific for February 2022. Compared to the rest of the weapon classes in Warzone Pacific, there aren’t as many viable options when picking from the first batch of Vanguard SMGs. That being said, the devs add new weapons every season, so we fully expect this to change as time goes on.

Here's our tier list for SMGs in CoD: Warzone Pacific for February 2022.

CoD: Warzone Pacific SMG Tier List February 2022

S Tier

In S Tier is four SMGs that have established themselves as ahead of the rest of the pack. The MP-40 has become quite easily the most popular gun in Warzone Pacific Season 1. Additionally, it has been the best performing SMG in the game, therefore, until Raven Software make changes, it will continue to be the "meta" weapon to use in Call of Duty right now. Meanwhile, the OTs 9 still translates to high K/D ratios for those using it despite the loss of popularity.

A Tier

In A Tier are six SMGs that are quite good up close, but generally won't outpace the aforementioned S-Tier options. The M1912 "Tommy Gun," Type 100, and Sten joined a lot of the former S Tier SMGs in January, including the Black Ops MP5 which unfortunately received hefty nerfs from Raven, the Mac-10 is the one weapon that would rank at the top of A tier, but not enough in this game's current meta to return to it's former A-tier levels of old.

B Tier

  • Milano 821
  • MP5 (MW)
  • Bullfrog
  • TEC-9
  • LAPA
  • MP7
  • LC10
  • CX-9
  • AK-74u
  • AUG (MW)

In the B Tier are a handful of SMGs that remain solid but still need a slight buff in order for more players to seriously consider using them. These options have a proven track record of being decent now and in the past, however in Caldera, they aren't the most special, and you won't see too many loadouts with any of these weapons, not even the past glorious MP5.

C Tier

  • Fennec
  • Uzi
  • PP19 Bizon
  • ISO
  • P90
  • Nail Gun

In C Tier are six options that are simply mediocre and definitely need a buff in Warzone. Apart from the Nail gun, these weapons are all incredibly outdated, being used primarily in the Modern Warfare days. You can try them out but you won't get too far without major buffs from developers. The Fennec can be fun, but as arguably the worst of the B Tier in January, we decided to knock it down to the tip of C Tier.

D Tier

Lastly, in D Tier are two SMGs that have been behind in the pack far too long. Don't bother using them as they still need major buffs in order to be viable. This tier will likely remain the same for the remainder of Season 1 and well into Season 2 of Warzone Pacific.
