Joe Cecot, co-design director of Multiplayer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare recently responded to fans looking for an update on whether or not Infinity Ward was going to fix the infinite loading glitch plaguing some gamers.

Warzone has proven to be extremely popular, and even judged by some to have “saved Call of Duty.” What it has not proven has been the ability to be free from glitches, strange bugs, and game breaking exploits by hackers, cheaters and general curious players.

Players have seen weapons disappear, items disappear, their own tactical equipment kill them, the inability to equip armor or buy/revive teammates - just to name a few. Despite these aforementioned issues, nothing could be more frustrating as a glitch preventing you from even playing the game. Unfortunately, that is exactly the issue some gamers find themselves in, including myself.

Warzone Infinite Loading Glitch Annoying Players to No End

As the name suggests, players are greeted by a loading screen that never seems to go anywhere. Despite hearing gunfire and the match countdown timer progressing, nothing ever happens. While some workarounds exist, such as restarting the game client or your console altogether, there has not been a fix that eliminates the issue, as it's sure to creep back in and show its ugly face sooner rather than later.

While no patch notes have addressed this issue yet, Joe Cecot has offered information as he knows it to be progressing in-studio. “We are looking at this but it’s turning out to be a very complex issue,” Cecot responded to one Twitter user while also giving an apology noting, “Sorry for the inconvenience.”

It does not bode well for a game-breaking bug when the developers note that “it is a complex issue”. This has been an issue that has existed in Warzone since its release in March, and affects PS4, Xbox, as well as PC players. For now all we can do is wait for Infinity Ward to somehow figure it out.
