Battlefield 6 progression will receive a speed boost in coming update

Higher XP earnings and lower unlock costs.

The rate of progression in Battlefield 6 will be accelerated in an upcoming patch, EA confirmed. Players have been complaining about the required time to unlock weapon attachments, making the topic one of the highest priority issues alongside bugs and map sizes.

To tackle the problem, the developers will implement the following measures:

  • The XP gained from match completion and the daily bonus are being increased by 10% and 40% respectively.
  • The XP needed to unlock the first 20 attachment ranks is being reduced, so you’ll start earning useful attachments almost twice as fast.
  • The assignments that required career ranks 20, 23, and 26 to begin will now require career ranks 10, 15, and 20, respectively.

DICE emphasized that the challenges themselves are also being looked at, but noted that it will take a bit more time to make and test changes in this regard that can be rolled out.

The developers also stated that they’ll implement measures to combat bot farms, since the high number of community servers opened for this purpose has made it difficult to find actual custom games.

Finally, the acknowledged issues with “visibility, weapon bloom, [and] vehicles not spawning” and announced that details about solutions to these problems will be shared once decisions have been made on how to tackle them.

Battlefield 6 has sold over seven million copies in three days and will soon receive the Season 1 update with a first wave of content additions.
