HSR 3.7's new Planar Ornament set is a win for Archer and Imbibitor Lunae
By Marco Wutz

Two brand-new Planar Ornament sets are coming to Honkai: Star Rail in Version 3.7 and we finally have details on what effects these pieces of gear will have.
Amphoreus, The Eternal Land:
- +8% CRIT Rate, +8% SPD for all allies while the wearer’s Memosprite is on the field.
Tengoku@Livestream:
- +16% CRIT DMG, +32% CRIT DMG for three turns if three or more Skill Points are consumed in the same turn.
Amphoreus, The Eternal Land is clearly meant to be used with upcoming character Cyrene, who will take on a supporting role and can use this set to bolster her allies’ SPD — though that won’t mesh well with every character, since someone like Castorice actually wants low SPD to make use of Poet of Mourning Collapse. At the moment this set looks to be of little interest to anyone else.
Tengoku@Livestream, on the other hand, could be of great consequence to Skill Point-hungry characters, providing a substantial CRIT DMG buff. From the current roster of HSR characters, three can use this set to its maximum effects: Archer, Imbibitor Lunae, and Qingque.
Archer can use multiple Skill Points in a single turn to repeatedly cast his Skill, Imbibitor Lunae can consume several Skill Points at once to enhance his Basic Attack, and Qingque uses them up to gamble without ending her turn, allowing all three to gain the full 48% CRIT DMG.
These Skill Point-intensive compositions have their own challenges, of course. They are usually quite squishy (for those of us without Fu Xuan, anyway) and very slow without Skill Point-generating characters like Sparkle and Hanya. In light of this new set, though, we could be looking at a bit of a revival of this style soon, since the developer never puts these items into the game randomly.
