HSR players flock to apologize to Black Swan after latest Myriad Celestia Trailer

Oh, it could have been so much worse.

Remember when Honkai: Star Rail gave us a choice on where to go after Penacony? Well, it didn’t really matter as Amphoreus was always going to be the destination, but in-universe we followed Black Swan’s recommendation. After all the horrors that happened in this world, the players weren’t exactly thrilled with the Memokeeper, especially after the revelation that fellow Remembrance followers were very much involved with everything that’s been happening.

But we owe Black Swan a heartfelt apology, because the latest HSR Myriad Celestia Trailer, Exotale: Scene 8, confirmed that every other option would have been a lot worse. Like, a lot.

How do we know? Well, Kafka talks Silver Wolf through the different futures Elio foresees for every potential destination of the Astral Express — which, by the way, once again hints at the Stellaron Hunters’ cat either being Elio himself or some sort of avatar he uses, as the animal appears to be the one looking into the future, changing its eye color while doing so.

Option #1: Lushaka

The Express has itself a nice pirate adventure on the ocean world, but in the meantime The Herta discovers what’s happening on Amphoreus and tries to tackle the situation alone — a deadly mistake, as she’s absorbed by Irontomb, becomes Rubert III, and destroys the cosmos.

Option #2: Melustanin

While the Express deals with the Stellaron Disaster’s effects at Melustanin, the Xianzhou agree to Jingliu’s Aeon-killing plan and use the remnants of The Propagation to go after Yaoshi — the plan backfires, though, as the Xianzhou are corrupted by The Propagation, becoming a new Swarm Disaster, and led to war under Jingliu’s leadership, who ascends as a new Lord Ravager.

Option #3: Patrevia

Patrevia brings the Express into a confrontation with Zephyro, the most lethal Lord Ravager. In the possible timeline described by Kafka as the worst option, Welt and Zephyro annihilate each other in a battle that literally rips the cosmos apart — everyone dies.

So, yeah: Black Swan bringing us to Amphoreus, where we suffer uncounted horrors and will have ourselves a little galactic war to round things out is actually the best possibility. Thanks, Black Swan.

As for Amphoreus, Elio hints at a bittersweet ending, which is pretty much a given for HSR — but with The Trailblaze involved, you can never know for sure.

HSR 3.7 will launch next week on PC, PS5, iOS, and Android with the finale of Amphoreus, the Currency Wars game mode, and Cyrene on the character banners.
