League of Legends Season 12 is set to go live on Jan. 4, 2022, bringing plenty of new updates with it. Players have been playing through the preseason which has already brought several new changes to League of Legends including new items, objectives and drakes.

Season 11 brought a huge items update, new champions and champion updates. League of Legend players were introduced to quite a few new things this last year. That being said, here are five things we want in League of Legends in 2022.

5 Things We Want in League of Legends in 2022

1. New Champions

Riot Games had mentioned previously that they had a goal of creating one new champion for each role every year. This year, they were short of reaching that goal. However, there are two champions, a marksman and support, that are supposed to be released in early 2022. We hope to see those new champions come out in the next few weeks.

2. Revert the Teleport Nerf

A teleport nerf was being tested on PBE. For the first 14 minutes of the game, players will only be able to teleport to ally structures. After the 14 minute mark, players will then unlock unleashed teleport which is the teleport that players see today. This nerf will prevent early game cross-map agency from top lane and force top to focus on their own lane. However, this nerf takes away the skill to strategize around an early game lead.

3. Rengar and Jax Update

With Patch 12.1 on its way, Rengar is supposedly receiving a rework. This is great news for jungle assassin players as Rengar had recently been falling behind in the current state of the game.

Along with the Rengar's update, players want to see a VGU for Jax. Jax had a small SFX update earlier this season, however, it would be nice to see a few more visual updates on one of the strongest champions according to the lore.

4. Udyr Rework

Riot Games has been working on Udyr's rework. Last year, players voted on which champion they would like to see be completely reworked, and Udyr was chosen. In 2022, players can expect a completely updated Udyr. There has been a lot of updates on the visual design of Udyr, however, players hope to see more than just Udyr's visuals updated in the upcoming season.

5. Bring Back Snowdown Showdown

It was previously mentioned by Riot that they no longer wanted to bring back the Winter Rift, a seasonal feature where the rift is covered in snow. However, Riot said it was taking up too much time and didn't make sense.

This has been the second year that Riot hasn't released a winter/holiday event. Whether this be bringing back Snowdown Showdown, the Winter Rift or even the Poro King, we hope to see a holiday event in League of Legends in 2022.
