Our Warzone assault rifle tier list for August 2022 is here to go over which of the guns are the best to use now that the new meta has settled down a bit once again after the launch of Raven Software's latest balancing update.

Since the initial Season 4 Reloaded patch, Warzone players have seen a handful of nerfs and buffs made at a rapid pace. As such, here is how the assault rifles stack up in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 Reloaded in August 2022.

August 2022 Warzone Assault Rifle Rankings

S Tier

In the S Tier are 10 ARs that appear to be key parts of the meta about two weeks into Season 4 Reloaded. After all of the shake-ups that Raven made in recent days, the KG M40 and STG44 appear be the cream of the crop when it comes to main AR options. For sniper support, look no further than the Volk, Nikita AVT and AS44. Meanwhile, the Automaton, Cooper Carbine, M13, Kilo 141 and Vargo 52 should remain to be solid options as well.

A Tier

In A Tier are a wide variety of options that are top-tier viable and remain generally balanced to use in Warzone. Essentially, these ARs are sitting right outside of the main meta, but are still able to get the job done and allow you to be competitive. This group includes the ever-viable Grau 5.56, Krig 6 and M4A1, as well as options that have flirted with S-Tier rankings in the Black Ops Cold War AK-47, Vargo-S and NZ-41.

B Tier

These weapons in B Tier remain viable, but could still use a slight buff in order for more players to seriously consider using them. Unfortunately, this is where the fun stops. Ultimately, some of these are fairly popular still, but just aren't as statistically sound compared to the guns above.

C Tier

  • FR 5.56
  • AK-47 (MW)
  • FN Scar 17

Whether it's for long-range or sniper support, these C Tier rifles are still not close to having a place in the meta and definitely need some buffs in Warzone.
