Our Warzone Pacific Season 2 assault rifle tier list is here to break down which of the guns are the best to use in Caldera and Rebirth Island with the launch of Raven Software's latest major update.

In addition to the introduction of armored war machines and chemical weapons, Raven's latest weapon balance pass was one of the largest in Warzone history, undoubtedly flipping the meta on its head once again. As such, here are the best assault rifles to use in Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Season 2.

Warzone Pacific Season 2 Assault Rifle Tier List

S Tier

In the S Tier are seven ARs that still appear to be ahead of the rest of the pack. The STG44 saw a minor ADS Speed nerf while the C58 received a hit to its recoil pattern, but they'll remain among the top options until further notice. For those looking for the best sniper support option in the game, look no further than the Cooper Carbine. Meanwhile, the Automaton, Black Ops Cold War AK-47, and XM4 have still translated to high K/D ratios for those using them so feel free to keep rolling them out.

A Tier

In A Tier are a wide variety of options that are top tier viable and remain generally very balanced to use in Warzone. Essentially, these options are sitting right outside of the main meta, but are still able to get the job done and allow you to be competitive. The BAR is right behind those in S Tier, as it's a great option for those comfortable using it. The AS 44, Volk, and Itra Burst would be the best sniper support options in the game if it weren't for the Cooper Carbine. For those behind on leveling up the Vanguard and Black Ops Cold War guns, the Grau 5.56, RAM-7, CR-56 AMAX, FARA 83, QBZ-83, and GRAV are solid alternatives.

B Tier

  • FFAR 1
  • KG M40
  • M13
  • M4A1
  • AS VAL
  • FAL
  • Kilo 141
  • Krig 6
  • Groza

These weapons in B Tier remain viable, but could still use a slight buff in order for more players to seriously consider using them. Ultimately, a lot of these are fairly popular still (e.g. Kilo 141, M13, M4A1) but aren't as good statistically compared to the guns above. We're also throwing the all-new KG M40 in here for now as, unfortunately, it seems as if it just doesn't have the firepower to win out in most 1v1 fights despite having little recoil.

C Tier

  • Oden
  • FN Scar 17
  • AN-94
  • AK-47 (MW)
  • FR 5.56

The C Tier includes rifles that are not close to having a place in the meta and definitely need a buff in Warzone. An unfortunate, but telling sign of the times is that even in the new Warzone Pacific era, all of these guns are all from Modern Warfare.
