Our Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 SMG tier list is here to break down which of the guns are the best to use in CalderaFortune's Keep and Rebirth Island with the launch of Raven Software's latest major balancing update.

With the Season 5 patch, not only did we get the all-new RA 225 SMG, but also a handful of major changes to options in the weapon class as well. As such, here is a breakdown of how the SMGs stack up in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5.

Warzone Season 5 SMG Rankings

S Tier

In the S Tier are 10 SMGs that should continue to be elite in Season 5. Ultimately, after being unquestionably at the top for some time, the Marco 5, Armaguerra 43 and H4 Blixen could see their stays in the S Tier cut moving forward now that each received some heavy nerfs to their damage multipliers and recoil. After getting a slight buff, the Vanguard PPSh-41 receives the call back up to the S Tier. For now, the all-new RA 225 slots in here as well, fitting right in as the newest Vanguard SMG with the full package. Meanwhile, the MP-40, Type 100, Sten, Black Ops Cold War MP5 and Welgun have still translated to high K/D ratios for those using them, so feel free to keep doing so.

A Tier

In A Tier are a whopping 15 SMGs that are still top-tier viable and remain generally very balanced to use in Warzone. Essentially, these options are sitting right outside of the main meta, but are still able to get the job done and allow you to be competitive. The UGR, Fennec and M1912 each received some slight buffs, but should continue to perform around the same for the most part.

B Tier

In the B Tier are a handful of SMGs that remain solid but could still use a slight buff in order for more players to seriously consider using them. These options have a proven track record of being decent, but will likely be nothing to write home about throughout the Warzone Pacific era. Out of sheer hope that their new buffs will make them viable at the very least, the P90 and the Striker 45 have been moved up for the first time in a long time.

C Tier

Whether it's as a close-range or sniper support option, these C Tier SMGs have been behind in the pack for far too long and are not close to having a place in the meta.
