Our Warzone SMG tier list for September 2022 is here to go over which of the guns are the best to use now that the new meta has settled down a bit once again after the launch of Raven Software's latest major balancing update.

Since the initial Season 5 patch, Warzone players almost surprisingly haven't seen any weapon nerfs and buffs made just yet. However, that's not to say that the meta still isn't continuing to evolve. As such, here is how the SMGs stack up in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 in September 2022.

September 2022 Warzone SMG Rankings

S Tier

In the S Tier are eight SMGs that have continued to be elite in Season 5. Ultimately, perhaps the only "broken" option at the moment would be the Vanguard PPSh-41. Despite receiving major nerfs to start the new season, the Armaguerra 43, H4 Blixen and Marco 5 have remained to be strong options, all things considered. Meanwhile, the Type 100, RA 225, Sten and MP-40 have still translated to high K/D ratios for those using them, so feel free to keep doing so.

A good sign at the moment is the fact that there are a whopping 19 SMGs that are still top-tier viable and remain generally very balanced to use in Warzone. Essentially, these options are sitting right outside of the main meta, but are still able to get the job done and allow you to be competitive. For those who have long-awaited the day that the P90 was good, your time is now.

B Tier

In the B Tier are a handful of SMGs that remain solid but could still use a slight buff in order for more players to seriously consider using them. These options have a proven track record of being decent, but will likely be nothing to write home about throughout the Warzone Pacific era.

C Tier

Whether it's as a close-range or sniper support option, these C Tier SMGs have been behind in the pack for far too long and are not close to having a place in the meta. Unfortunately, unlike the P90, the Striker 45 is still not worth equipping at all.
